Vision
The small groups ministry at Fortress Church seeks to glorify God by providing Discipleship and Care for the Body of Christ by connecting people into a small group where the truth is taught, life-change is experienced and friendships established.
Mission
Our mission is two-fold. To fulfill: (1) the Great Commission (to make disciples by applying God’s word to everyday life) and (2) the Great Commandment (to love one another).
Goals
1. Provide training to small group leaders and impart the vision of the ministry to them.
2. Allow for the small groups to expand and multiply in order to allow every believer to be connected to others.
3. Have every small group leader mentor an apprentice so that when the small group grows, the apprentice will lead a group of his/her own.
4. Small groups must be healthy and creating life-change.
5. A support system for the small group leaders must be in place to ensure that they are appropriately cared for and equipped for ministry.
6. To reach the unchurched and the unsaved for Christ.
7. To connect people into ministry.
