2013
Wow! 2012 was an awesome year! First I want to thank everyone for making it happen. I give special kudos to Ben, Lupe and Paul for all their hard work and prayers. It was all about building unity in the community of Fortress men, our friends and family. We went places, did things and learned a lot.
2013 will be the sequel!
I personally invite you to come out and get involved.
Make time for breakfast on the 1st Saturday of the month.
Make time for food, fellowship and prayer at the Band of Brothers every 4th Thursday of the month.
Take time to ask questions and extend your spiritual insights during the Bible Fellowships starting in February and continuing in April, June, August, October and December.
In 2013 we will have some special father and son events. We will tackle some service projects to help our church and extend our potential. Jesus said "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working." John 5:17 NIV. This is going to be an awesome year!
I recently re-read Nehemiah 3, Builders of the wall. I marveled at how the names were document and it told a story of what the men had done. I also took note of the phase "next to him" as it described men working together, each with purpose and task yet it was all interlinked together as a whole. It was too much for one man by himself. It wasn't too much for all the households represented doing their part. The Kingdom of God is like this. Jesus is the head, and men who see that their heavenly father is at work to this very day, so they too are working.
